I composed this scene mostly from my mind, using various references I had from last autumn.
My goal was to capture an undisturbed place that we would all love to contemplate and then, like a little child, run down the hill toward the distance, taking in all the purity and beauty. This is how I imagine that our nation may have looked like when the first settlers arrived. Oil on linen, 18"x24".
