Jason Tako-Winter Shadows, oil on linen, 18"x24"

When I did the field study for this painting the kind people who owned this barn brought out hot chocolate and cookies for me. Since it was a cold day the hot chocolate really hit the spot. I did this painting using a limited palette of Ultramarine Blue, Cadmium Yellow, Cadmium Red and White. I love scenes like this. It reminds me of times past when God and family were most important. Since we can't seem to go back to these times the next best thing I can do is capture them on linen.
