Maria (part II)

I finally got around to finishing up the statue I had begun back in February and which I posted on small pax. I would still like to polish up some of the rough areas but I am calling it finished for now :-) I have found that working with 3-D has helped me alot in understanding my 2-D drawings better. I am working on a portrait for my cousin and his fiancé which I will try to post later. It is amazing with sculpture how much lighting can affect the appearance - see the above pictures and how different they all look.

This is a beautiful sculpture! I'm very impressed... (I also love your source of inspiration) and isn't it great how the light plays on the 3-d model... that has always fascinated me

Great Job!!!

Amazing! Is this one you get to keep or is it just that soft clay stuff?
