I made this rendering of a house recently for a local building company. I did use both a photo reference and a light table for parts of the drawing. The original was about 14 inches across which is a little bigger than usual for my pen work. But I was pleased enough with the result that I'm anxious to work at this scale again (or larger). The only problem is that you have to scan in sections and "sew" the pieces together in PS.
Also, I've decided to dedicate the rest of my "fancy" sketchbook To anatomy studies:
I've found an old copy of Grey's Anatomy (which I have to give back to Christendom) and I've started learning through drawing:

nicely drawn. Is the tone put down in photoshop or is that marker/ink? Will the original be used as artwork or is this for ads etc?
Yeah, the tones are in photoshop. Actually, this is the greyscale version of the colored version. I think it's the version that looks best at this size.
didn't scroll down to see your great sketchies! WHAT A LOVELY SKETCHBOOK!
an update on my new years resolution... I'm still going strong with a sketch a day... of course there ARE blank pages... but happily I did not (for once) figure that since I missed a day I should just give up. Yay!
Wow--these are great!
NEVER GIVE UP, TED!
Whoa, very impressive perspective!
The anatomy studies are a great idea. Making mental note to hit up the library...
