StAR Logo

A few months ago I redesigned the StAR Magazine logo... After seeing it in print I decided it needed some further tweaking. Let me know what version you would choose, OR let me know any changes you would suggest.

I like the second one. But I think I would like to compare it with a version without the two white lines delineating the shoulder and hood. Nice work.

Number 2. Boy, this is worlds better than what they have now!

Yeah, I am going to third the nomination for #2. The dark blue field around the figure is distracting in the other three

If we went with #2... it seems it needs something to integrate it better with the "R"... any ideas?

I also like #2. How about conforming the bottom of the figure a little more with the R? Make the bottom edge the same sweep as the tail of the R--right now it's a little different. That might do it.

Ted, the more I look the more I like 2. I actually disagree about it needing to conform more to the R. I think it works good as is.

I like the last one just because the figure with the star is a neat element. It feels like it could stand on its own - maybe like a bullet at the end of a story or a watermark or something.

I like the star, and its conjunction with the Elevated Host but part of me is a bit bothered from a point of view of versimiltude of showing St A raising the Host at Mass while wearing his hood up, which would have seemed disrespectful then and now, since even Bishops take their skullcaps off.

Otherwise, gorgeous.

I like #2, but I think abigail is right, having the entire image would make a great bullet point (to end stories with, perhaps), and bring some much needed consistency to StAR's layout.
