St. Francis in my Garden

I have a friend who is a professional musician. I am a professional artist. He wanted to learn to draw. I wanted to learn to play guitar.

It was a match made in heaven.

So we're bartering weekly lessons, which is fun. Yesterday, for a simple sketching excersize, I set up an old staue of St. Francis from our garden. This is what I came up with:



I have to admit that I used photoshop to slightly deepen the background behind the figure. Sometimes I can't help fiddling.
