Soft & Silent by Jason Tako

Sadly, at least for me, snow is a rarity these days. I cherish a beautiful snowfall. This painting depicts one of the few snowfalls we had last winter. I found this stream and created a small field study on location; this field study was used to create the studio study you see here. This snowfall was such a beautiful one. And with most snowfalls in the country, the air was silent; any sound was muffled from the snow. It seems snow can even make sound more beautiful. Have a Merry & Blessed Christmas!!

Jason, you are very prolific. Painting and painting. This lovely painting definitely fits your description of it: one can sense the softness and silence of the landscape. Thank you.

You really captured the silence. It makes me homesick for upstate NY.
