Coat of Arms of the Ordinariate of the Chair of Peter

I had the incredible honour of contributing to the design development and doing the final design of the coat of arms of the U.S. Anglican Ordinariate, which was officially announced yesterday as the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of Peter under the Protection of Our Lady of Walsingham.

You can learn more about it here.

Congratulations Mary. This is a very interesting time to be Catholic. Thank God for Pope Benedict XVI!

I would be interested to hear more about the development of the coat of arms.

Thank you! Yes indeed!

Hmm, I don't know how much I can say... I was to keep everything very secret while it was in development and I'm not sure if any of that may still apply! But I think I can say, an ecclesiastical heraldic expert figured out the charges; they were approved by Fr. Steenson, the Ordinary; and I drew, digitized, and colored them. The meaning of the charges is on the Ordinariate website.
