I have always had a fond love of the Japanese Print. Such profound use of line and shape!. Your works are exciting and very interesting. However, on this piece it seems the that the 'flat of the head' on Our Lady is so pronounced that I find it hard to get beyond looking at it with a certain question of, 'Why thus?' Perhaps it is the Western mind that does this, but I don't remember feeling this on other Japanese Prints. However, that being said, I feel I need to look again to the Haiku and the life of my all-time favoriet poet, Basho,' with renewed interest. Thanks for sharing this.
