Anyone doing holy cards?

A Capuchin franciscan priest and friend asked me if I could do a holy card for him. He wanted a card that showed children the reality of the Real Presence of
Christ after receiving Holy Communion. I am not a big fan of  overly 'sugar sweet' traditional holy cards so I tried my hardest to stay away from too many soft bright colors.  Here is the result of my meager attempt.

It seems like you captured It. I am going to show my 9 year old daughter this one. It's beautiful.

Nicely done. I have long been an advocate of new, updated holy cards. The approach I considered, particularly aimed at boys but not exclusively so, was to pattern them on collectible trading card games. This has the advantage of sizing them so that kids can put them in the protective sleeves they currently use for their games.
My thinking was that we need to "re-invent" the holy card and make it more accessible to kids.

Lawrence, I think the holy card trading idea is a great concept.

hey guys, sorry to post a comment here that is irrelevant to the wonderful card idea above but does anyone remember the drawing of the winged lion of st. mark that was posted on the blog a few months ago? I can't seem to find it and I clicked through almost every post.

Thanks

Thanks J.R.
I'll post the mock up I did in a separate post.
