I've been illustrating a big stack of Christmas Carols lately. It's challenging to keep it fresh and interesting since many of the carols go over the same stock scenes, but I'm doing what I can. Here are a few recent illustrations depicting some children dressed as our old friends Melchior, Caspar and Balthasar. There's some Sendak-influence in these.

these illustrations are awesome!, great job.
Several months ago I remember seeing a post of some illustrations you and some other people were working that were Wild Things themed. It may have been for a Sendak tribute book or something. I remember one picture of Max and the Wild Things jumping out of a tree. I hope I am not completely making this up, because I couldn't find it in a search.
You are not crazy. It's all here:

Since then there have been a TON of new pieces.

These remind me of Sendak's work, actually!
