These have been heavil influenced by the work of Howard Pyle, particularly from his book The Merry Adventures of Robin Hood. I'll post more a few more of these in a day or so.

this is great! Wonderful balance and fine linework! I never quite get over the fact that you can make almost _anything_ look friendly...even the wolf of Gubbio!
funny... just like the miracle... Francis made the wolf friendly....
I can really see the Howard Pyle influence in the linework and framing. Nice!
