On January 1, 2007 I started a 6 year journal... I have a huge heap of paper (12" x 20") that I fold in fourths and create a sketch book for each month. Each day of the month has 6 pages. So, come when February 21st 2008, comes around I'll go to the page after the one I posted here.

I have actually kept it up each day so far!

I'll post a pic of the outside of the book so you can see my lovely sloppy bookbinding.

6 years!?!? This will be a really fine Sketchbook. I can't wait to see more from it. I think that at the end of a project like this you will really have a chance to see your style/artwork develope.

Also, you'll get to see your kids grow up on paper! Nice sense of the body of a crawler. I love how big their behinds are in diapers.

esp when you use cloth diapers!

I tried to do something like this three years ago but I had one sketchbook page that I would just come back to and add to it. The sketchbook had pages that were 10x13... all 12 months in one sketchbook... really, I would have only gotten 3 or 4 years in there, but it would have been cramped and the book was UNWIELDILY.

It was very neat to go back and draw next to my younger self (if you see what I mean) and remember what was going on. BUT I didn't keep it up... so there were big gaps.
