A few quick sketches from a weekend trip to the Getty Museum in Southern California.

Were you using any kind of reference? Good "Navel Placement." The neck seems a bit short... but that's really my only crit. I'm glad you're still sketching on saturday!

Thanks, yes my reference was a drinking horn with the sort of cat shaped head at its' tip, a fragment of a classic face, and an 18th century statue of Minerva. All at the Getty museum, all quick sketches of some of the artifacts, that's why the neck may be off :). The Getty Center and the Getty Villa are really cool places if anyone is ever in the Santa Monica area. The Getty Center is currently hosting an exhibit of icons from the St. Catherine Monastery at the foot of Mt Sinai. That's why we were there!
