Saint Barbara



















A while back Matthew Alderman brought our attention to a remarkable old illustration of Saint
Barbara and his art that was inspired by it.
Both pieces inspired me to come up with my own.

    I start with an inked drawing, scan it into the computer, and paint it digitally.

    Very neat! I love the blossoms' harmoniousness and the lightning. I think her nose and mouth get kind of lost, however.
