Laudamus te

I want to announce a project I've been working on for the past few months. Laudmaus te, a new publication intended for Catholics who pray the Extraordinary Form of the Latin Rite (also known as the Traditional Latin Mass), particularly those becoming acquainted with this Mass, and for all who wish to know more about it.

We are publishing 6 times a year (7 issues in our first year of publication), beginning with the Advent 2012 season. Each issue features daily Mass propers for the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Catholic Mass (1962 Missal), daily meditations and prayers, explanatory essays, commentaries by saints and the Church Fathers, and devotional writings by priests, religious, and laity, as well as the Ordinary of the Mass in Latin and English. Laudamus Te is especially designed to help newcomers learn to pray the ancient Mass without the confusion of navigating a conventional missal.

We hope to publish the work of sacred artists and illustrators in each issue. The advent issue has a couple pieces by one of my favorite artists from our Guild, Daniel Mitsui

The covers will feature beautiful paintings from the rich history of Catholic Art. The Advent issue cover features The Visitation (1435), by Jacques Daret
