Also, I'd put more dark into her eyes. Even light blue eyes come across as mostly dark areas.

Just my two cents. While the girl I used as a model does look pretty much like that on further consideration there are some aspects that seem a bit exaggerated that could use some work. Something about the eyelids, especially; they look stuck on rather than inset into the face's structure. The nose is also a little more pert than natural. Something for the future, I suppose.

Dawn's hair is tricky: she's a blonde and a rather light one at that. I agree contrast would help a lot. I wonder if the darkening could have been done with shading (which might have resulted in making her look a bit like a light brunette) or perhaps by a more abstract application of color. Any thoughts? (Though I could have taken the plunge and done some shading on her face rather than treating it so abstractly.)Matthewhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06564111376175876800noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38626086.post-46446963619599945702008-06-27T14:16:00.000-05:002008-06-27T14:16:00.000-05:00Matthew,Lovely as per usual. My only suggestion would be to darken Dawn's hair, seems to me there needs to be a little more contrast between the face and hair.

my only complaint on the second image is that the face of the angel looks a little too cartoonish.

but on the whole, just marvelous.Theodorehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06146202046155140546noreply@blogger.com
